The Role

As a Senior Insolvency Accountant, you'll work across a range of corporate insolvency appointments, supporting our management team while building your own technical skills and confidence. This is a hands-on role with real variety - no two engagements are the same, and you'll be expected to contribute meaningfully from day one.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting Principals, Directors, and Senior Managers across a wide range of corporate insolvency appointments
• Assisting with WIP management and budgeting
• Preparing draft reports, presentations, and stakeholder correspondence
• Conducting financial analysis and preparing estimated outcome statements for formal insolvency matters
• Contributing to in-house training and the development of junior team members

What We're Looking For

• 2–3 years of restructuring and insolvency experience
• Currently studying toward CA or CPA (or equivalent), or already qualified
• Solid understanding of Australian insolvency procedures across formal and informal appointments
• A clear communicator - confident in writing and comfortable working with stakeholders
• Someone who takes initiative and wants to grow, not just execute

About the Role

We're looking for an Office Coordinator who thrives on keeping things running smoothly - the kind of person who notices what needs doing before anyone has to ask. You'll be the glue that holds our day-to-day together, supporting our Principals and Directors while helping our small, close-knit team operate at its best.

This is more than an admin role. It's a chance to build real relationships across the firm, get exposure to the inner workings of insolvency and restructuring, and grow the position as you grow into it.

What You'll Do

Keep the Office Running

• Be the first friendly voice on the phone, directing calls with ease
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including creditor correspondence
• Keep shared spaces - boardroom, kitchen, common areas -welcoming and well-stocked
• Support IT access and systems administration
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for new and departing team members

Support the Team

• Assist with statutory lodgements to ASIC and ATO - accuracy matters here
• Assist with the preparation of bank reconciliations and Business Activity Statements (BAS)
• Handle routine banking administration
• Support billing administration and chase up outstanding documentation
• Manage calendars, appointments and movements for our Principals

What You Bring

• Sharp attention to detail - in this industry, the details are the job
• Confident with the Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• A calm, organised approach to juggling competing priorities
• A proactive, can-do attitude and genuine interest in being part of a professional team
• Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience is highly regarded
