Focus on Furniture VA

We were Voluntary Administrators and subsequent Deed Administrators of Focus Group, a furniture and bedding retail and online businesses across Australia, consisting of 13 entities, in excess of 270 employees and had annual turnover of $140M. As Administrators continued to trade on the business and ran a robust sale campaign whilst also considering a recapitalization proposal by the director and major shareholder. Unprofitable stores (15) were exited to ‘resize’ the business and make it profitable. The recapitalization process was approved by creditors (including secured creditors) and the company continues to trade.
